the boots thing

So I’ve got my Topshop order today (everythings lovely, the flats are probably my most comfortable flats everrrr!) but the boots were too small. Does anyone have the same issue with Topshop shoes, that they are too small like 90% of the time? Anyways, so I checked online and they were already sold out one size bigger so I had to go to Oxford Circus to exchange them.

I hate that store. Don’t get me wrong – the store decoration, the stock, the variety… it’s all great but it’s just too much for me to bare! All those people and the music and the light and the colours! Phew! Makes me dizzy! Anyone know what I mean? I go through and think wow this is great – and that ! And that! And I never buy anything there because I just have that urge to get out as soon as I can!

Anyways, so I got the right size, am super happy and make my way back to the exit when I came across these (on the feet of a mannequin):

32P07ABLK_largeGorgeous right? Like Alexander Wang had a go at the Acne Pistol Boots.

So they were spinning around in my head until I came home and I researched them, apparently they are a special edition from ages ago and around £200? Yeah whatever.

Apropos Pistol boots. I feel like everybody is lusting over those babes right now and only a few are able to pay the £360.00 for the real deal, so I was more than exited when I saw these while browsing:

32A03ABLA_largeYes please???

You cannot deny the resemblence. I think they are just perfect and a style staple; not too high, simple yet with that certain touch. Now I am just hoping and praying that they will come back in stock! For comparison: These are the original Acne Pistol Boots:

There is also a brand called AKIRA that sell a similar pair for about £70 but I haven’t been quick enough and they sold out too! Arrrgh!

Akira-Trend-Stiefelette-Acne-Pistol (1) The AKIRA version.

Which one do you prefer? Or do you think it’s all just a hype? Leave a comment and do tell!

  7. I am loving these boots - H&M also has boots extremely similar to these by Acne and Wang (though, less quality and comfort. If anything, Acne shoes are super comfy) xx

  9. I went looking for the Topshop version yesterday - obvs no joy! I kind of thought about it after and am maybe a little glad as perhaps it is all just hype?! I'm now thinking about how amazing they are, once again. I'm kind of the same with Topshop Oxford Circus but there is no denying if you get there early in the morning you get the best Topshop experience.

  15. Oh i love boots like this. the first ones are definitely my favorite. And I know what you mean with Topshop. They have so many great thinks and everything is so well presented that I'm just confused. I want to buy everything and nothing. So the best thing is to leave. I soooo know what you mean ;)

  16. I love the akira version. I agree with you about the topshop in Oxford Circus. I work all week so visiting it on a week day isn't possible. Obviously at the weekend I like my lay ins so I only get there mid morning and it's packed already. Lots of people and queuing and lots of variety. It's really overwhelming in htere!

  24. Ich hatte ja gerne die von Acne, aber die kann ich mir wohl kaum leisten. 400 Euro für Schuhe sind zur Zeit noch too much. ;(

@ Hirschoberteil Ohje, das kenne ich. Wenn ich Sachen vermisse kriege ich dann total die Krise.
