the stables

069055088090089064095

The stables market in Camden. One of my favourite places to go on a sunday – when it’s buzzing with life and you can buy a lot of selfmade gems from local designers and fresh food from all over the globe. It’s a shame it has become so commercial over the last couple of years. Individualist jewellery makers and designers make way for mass produced plastic bags from China…

Go check out the far end of the stables and try not to get caught to early because there are some nicer (and cheaper) stalls down the end where less tourists make it! ;)

Ever been to Camden yourself?

hat party

ombre hair hat 1 ombre hair hat 2ombre hair hat 3 ombre hair hat 4ombre hair hat 5ombre hair hat 6

These pics are actually a bit older (when I first had ombre hair), I just found them on my harddrive. It was one of the options that got into the final round for the hat party I went to! In the end I decided for my new bowler from H&M that I bought in Milan.

This little fascinater is from a small rockabilly shop in Camden. The loop scarf is from Forvever 21 and the silk shirt from Zara.

I’ve never seen so many miniature cars as in Italy. Trucky!

I thought Camden Town is in London? ^^

I was wearing 90% H&M. :)

On our fourth day we left Pisa and stopped on our way to Florence in Lucca, a beautiful little town only 30 mins from Pisa. Lucca has got an amazing old city center, surrounded by the ancient city walls that can easily be discovered by foot.

My personal highlight was the tower on these pics with trees growing on it’s top. From there you could sit under the shade of the branches and enjoy a fantastic view over the city.

collectif camden

I was sorting out my closet today to put some stuff on Kleider Kreisel when I came across some of my older Rockabilly clothing. I love this style although I may not look like it. My sister is really into it so I bought her a couple of dresses from Collectif, a Rockabilly clothes (and accessories) shop in Camden. My sweet friend Sinead works there and it’s always so much fun to go. They have the most amazing dresses and shoes and the shop is packed with whimsical pieces but also affordable bargains. Normally Camden shops are always awfully tiny and offer very little choice but Collectif is huge. If you’re into 50s dresses and sailor tattoos, Collectif is where you should go on your next visit to Camden.

They have an online shop (collectiv.co.uk) too where you can order most of their pieces. Don’t forget to check their Sale items! ;)

p.s.: I do not get paid to write this, I just love this shop! :)
