discovering new tastes

IMG_7859Frozen Joghurt while-u-wait. IMG_7861Awww… IMG_7863 IMG_7864Best drink ever! IMG_7877Mongoose’ hair has the same colour as mine! :D IMG_7881IMG_7893IMG_7897-horzSomething that you (apparently) have to drink in between the courses. Nasty stuff.IMG_7912IMG_7899-horzLook Mongoose! There’s a beer named after you!  IMG_7919Squid! :D   IMG_7889 Mongoose is as fat as we feel after all the food…

I finally managed to upload the pictures from last friday! About half way to the Korean Store, somewhere in Tooting, the engine lamp of the car started to flash. We googled it (thank god for smartphones) and figured out that it was the ignition coil and that we can’t drive any firther. Luckily there was a garage very close so we gave them the car and passed the time in a cute little café opposite the road and had some frozen yoghurt.

An hour later we were finally able to drive on, 3 new ignition coils under the bonnet. The korean store we went to is huge and has an amazing selection of every asian ingredient you can think of. I bought tons of funny lucking snacks (tomato flavoured seaweed anyone?) and a lifetime supply of noodles.

Back home it was finally time for dinner! Basically you toss different types of meat and a few vegetables on a grill, dunk them in various sauces and wrap them in lettuce leafs with rice. You can add different types of Kimchi, which is a special type of pickled vegetable, chillis and garlic. I really loved it!

Look how big Mongoose has become! Awww! Still the cutest thing.

time goes by too quickly

Since most of you stated that the Mongoose Post was one of your favourites, I thought I’d share some of the pictures from when he was still a little kitten. Lena took these in his first weeks. Adorable, isn’t he? Just look what a grown up tomcat he has become!

Hi! My name is Mongoose Jr.

028

Sorry for not posting for a while now, I am trying to keep up with University work and on top of that I have got this little fella keeping me busy! Say hello to Mongoose Jr.!

My boyfriend and I are looking after him while his parents are sunbathing in Cuba! But I really don’t mind because he is such a pleasant company! I am not used to having an indoor cat because our Kitty used to be out and about all the time back home. Now Mongoose needs a lot more attention because he’ll get bored quickly… even while I am typing this he demands my full attention, tring to push the keyboard away! :D

Mongoose is 8 month old now, it’s incredible how fast he has grown since the kitten days when I first saw him. He’s got a beautiful bushy tail and beautiful long, soft fur now – and the cutest paws! But don’t get fooled by his mature looks, he is not the bravest cat around! Whenever there are noises in the hallway or people coming to visit he rushes into one of his safeplaces; under the sofa our behind the desk. ^^

He has really grown on me in the last couple of days and it will be so hard to let him go home again! But I am sure he’ll visit from time to time. For as long as he’ll be with us you can be sure to see more of him! ;)
