priorities.

Hey guys!

A little sign of life after all!

Sorry for neglecting the blog lately but sometimes there are more important things to life than clothes and make up. I am currently at my grandparents house where I am looking a bit after my granddad and keeping him company while my gran is in hospital. Don’t worry, it’s nothing life threatening but still a bit complicated and while the due date for her return is constantly being postponed, I make sure that my granddad has everything he needs. Their generation does things differently but it’s a lot of fun to spend time with him and listening to stories from his long and eventful life. Don’t get me wrong, he does not need to get cared for, he is just used to three meals a day and coffee and cake always at the right hour. We visit my gran alternately and when it’s not my turn I visit my other grandma a few miles away. My other granddad passed away one and a half years ago and I still miss him a lot.

I am very grateful for my grandparents and that I am so lucky to spend time with them. They are all very fit mentally but after more than eighty years your body just won’t do all the tricks it used to do.

My granddad and me are going to the hospital together now, we will try to cheer my gran up a little because she is getting tired of being in the hospital unable to leave her room. I am sure she will be well in no time and until then we make the best of it.

I will try to find some time to post a few pics I took these days, maybe tonight after I had a glass of wine with my granddad! ;)

  1. Grandparents are the best. I lost both my granddads but my nans are still here but like your granddad mentally fit but there bodies are giving up a little on them my nan is 92 bless her she still knits a mean knit but her legs are useless which sometimes is a shame as she does not get to get out & about like she used too.

All my best for you nan and enjoy your time with your granddad xoxo

jaa, ich kenn das, manchmal hat man so 'wertvolle' dinge die man nicht dreckig oder kaputt machen will und dann hängen sie einfach so, trostlos im schrank :) also hop, dann lieber ausführen :)
