Almost forgotten…

Just found these pictures on my external hard drive! They were taken around the same time last year with my lovelies Kerstin from Mademoiselleroy and Van Ahn from Chopstick panorama when we went to a market in London… kinda can’t remember which one it was… was it Borough Market?

Anyways. It made me miss London a bit and especially all my friends who I left behind when I moved to China. I found many great new friends in Beijing too but it’s sad that you can’t have them all around you at all times.

In this regard a big hug to my friends in London – I miss you! <3

french obsession

I came across a lot of interesting and enchanting blogs lately that I have added to my imaginary “currently loved” list. Sometimes I feel like sharing them with you but then I never do - partly because I do not want to give anyone the impression that I do this to make people mention my blog in return (which I think is happening increasingly often in the bloggingsphere atm) but also because I am constantly running behind on posting all the stuff I still have up my sleeves.

Today I could not hold myself back. I just think that she is gorgeous. It’s not like she is not quite popular already (which makes me wonder why I didn’t come across her blog earlier) and some of you might now her already (in which case I blame you for not telling me earlier). I fell in love with her style instantly and if you are into vintage clothes, button up shirts and leather loafers, I am sure you will love her too.

Unfortunately most of her posts are in french (and my french has become ridiculously bad after years of non-practice so I only get half of what she says) but even if you use the rubbish google translater you will find not only her style is amazing but that also her texts are very funny and entertaining.

This is how she describes herself:

when i was fourteen…

  

…I had other things in mind than blogging. My first big love for example. And trying hard to be as cool as my sister (aka listening to her music and stealing her clothes). Or being cool in general (aka pretending not to feel sick after my first cigarette).

Samira is fourteen but she is already blogging and quite successfully so. For a reason! I liked her instantly, she is cute and bubbly and – oh my did  I mention she’s got the most fantastic legs ever? Oh and she is pretty too. :)

…hatte ich andere Dinge im Kopf als bloggen. Meine erste große Liebe zum Beispiel. Und zu versuchen so cool wie meine große Schwester zu sein (sprich ihre Musik zu hören und ihre Klamotten zu klauen). Oder generell cool zu sein (sprich mir nicht anmerken lassen wie schlecht mir nach meiner ersten Zigarette war).

Samira ist vierzehn und bloggt – und zwar erfolgreich. Nicht ohne Grund! Sie war mir direkt sympatisch – oh und habe ich erwähnt das sie die tollsten Beine der Welt hat? Ach ja und hübsch ist sie auch noch. :)
