Phew. I’ve just come back from Uni and I am soooo tired… thought I’d just do a quick post, this is actually not my outfit from today but from a couple of days back. Today was such a lovely day, I wish I could have gone to the park! But instead I hang around Uni all day and finish it off with nothing less than 3 hours Mandarin Chinese… oh well, it was my choice anyways. Next week is my first test which is getting me a bit worried. Did I tell you that I am planning to go to Shanghai at the end of the year? Yeah, I know, I must be crazy.

Anyways, I just wanted to share this song with you, I bet most of you have seen it already. It’s actually a cover of this song but it is roumored that Gotye only got that popular because of this cover. I do love the original but 5 people playing one guitar, how cool is that?

Puh. Ich komm gerade aus der Uni und bin sooo müde… wollte daher nur schnell ein Outfit posten. Das ist nicht von heute sondern von vor ein paar Tagen als es noch deutlich kühler war, heute war’s echt wunderbar warm – ich wünschte ich hätte in den Park gehen können! Aber nein, stattdessen häng ich von morgens bis abends auf der Uni und zum krönenden Abschluss gibt’s dann noch 3 Stunden Mandarin. Naja, war ja meine eigene Entscheidung. Nächste Woche ist dann auch schon der erste Test, ich muss noch so viele Zeichen und Grammatik lernen bis dahin… Hab ich euch eigentlich erzählt dass ich Ende des Jahres nach Shanghai gehen will? Ja, ich bin verrückt.

Naja, ich wollte euch eigentlich nur dieses Lied ans Herz legen, die meisten werden es wohl schon kennen. Es ist eigentlich ein Cover von diesem Song aber es wird getuschelt dass Gotye nur so erfolgreich geworden ist weil das Cover so viel Aufmerksamkeit erregt hat. Keine Frage, das Original ist auch der Hammer – aber 5 Leute die EINE Gitarre spielen?! Wie gut ist das denn bitte?

I can not honestly say that I am surprised; we all saw it coming.  Her life was a controversy and the drugs a part of it but 27 is not an age to die.  Ironically her most successful song was the one thing that could have saved her life.

Her life was a mess but her music was brilliant. She was a great artist and will always be remembered for that. Rest in peace Amy.

rock am ring

Flew over Rock am Ring festival yesterday, two of my friends were there but still recovering from saturday. Muse was playing!!! Aaarrrgh I would have loved to see them, I know every song by heart. This RaR must have been epic… so many awesome bands, especially since it was the 25 years aniversary. Forget all that pop bla bla, bring on some rock!!! Rammstein, Rage against the Machine, Kiss, H-Blockx, Gossip, Motörhead, HIM, Pendulum, Lamb of God, Wolfmother… I gotta stop or I’ll cry! All my favourite bands…

As you can see it wasn’t very busy (it was 1pm so most of the people were probably still sleeping :D ). At the top acts the whole place is covered with people.

Do you see all those camps? Some of the guys at the far ends have to walk quite a while to get to the stages! The area is massiv; it looks like villages but its actually all camps...
