a roaring 20ies epicness

I mentioned this many times before. I have the most amazing friends. And they make the most amazing parties!!

Especially Sven and Stefanie (>>her blog)! They are the masters of Beijing house parties (partly because of amazing house *cough* *cough*, but especially because of their never ending passion in organizing the best house party YET. After I was not in Beijing at their first themed party (dead celebrities), I vowed I wouldn’t miss any other, they have topped themselves with an incredible Hawaii party that nobody thought could get any better. However, they still managed to up their game and threw this amazing 20ies Gatsby bash! It was also a late birthday party for Stefanie, including champagne pyramid, drop hems and even burlesque dancers from our friend’s group Moonglow Burlesque!

What I loved the most is that all of our friends (we were probably around 50 people in the end) made an effort to dress up! Even the boys – you know guys are usually not too much into dressing up – were bow tie clad and rocking those suspenders! Everyone looked so glamorous and fancy! A truly amazing party. I am dying to see what you come up with next guys! :P

Yay Rollerdisco!

I’ve been so busy these past few days! Now that I have finished my studies the serious side of life has begun! Read: Going to Job Interviews! But I am really excited and I can’t wait to see what future has in store for me!

These pictures are actually from a while back but I thought it’s never too late to post them! It was one of the last weekend for Thea (if you are reading this hun – London misses you!!!) so we decided to have some fun at the Roller Disco. And of course when it comes to anything  like that I had to ask my 90ies child Kerstin to come along! We had a good night, making our rounds on the dancefloor, dancing to Madonna and MC Hammer! Hey Guys!
I know its been a little quiet around here lately but in the last couple of days I just couldn’t find the time to blog. These pictures are still from my easter holidays, anyone can guess where?!

As you know it was my birthday last week and my besty Michelle came over to visit me (who’s birthday it is today – happy birthday my honey!!!). Unfortunately I got sick the day before and had to hand in an important report the day before which meant that I basically didn’t have much time for her the whole day. We did have a lovely night at Bavarian Beerhouse though, although the decoration was a bit lame… but the waitress made up for it – everybody is so sweet there, if you ever have some time and don’t know where to go, go to BB in Old Street!

Anyways, the whole weekend was rainy so we kinda stayed in most of the time which was still nice; nothing better than watching movies with your best friend when you’re ill and its raining outside! Michelle left on Tuesday morning and since then I have spend pretty much every minute at Uni, working on reports and presentations. Really stressfull right now but then again, these are the last 4 weeks! Eeeep! Can’t believe I will be done on the 29th of May!

But yeah, until then there is loads more to do, so don’t expect too much from me, Uni is priority at the moment! I do think about going somewhere after my exams, was thinking of Marocco maybe, any suggestions?

Just wanted to show you what I wore on the press days, thanks to Van Ahn for the great pictures, I need someone like her to take pictures of me everyday haha!

The nailpolish is by Models Own from the Hedkandi range in the shade “Hedonist”, a super bright pinkish-coral colour that looks quite orange on these pictures but it’s just really hard to capture. I love it though, can’t stop looking at my nails!

spontanious park parties

Another sunday, another day on Brick Lane. Equipped with a couple of ciders we decided to enjoy the last sunny day chilling at Allen Gardens, a big field near Brick Lane. Thanks to Van Ahn we actually have some pictures of this day as Kerstin and me didn’t bring our cameras – we always go to Cafe 1001 dancing on a sunday evening! (Although my phone does look like a camera… but that’s just a Blackberry Case I bought of ebay – got mine here!)

When the sun was beginning to set a group of people with a massive speaker on wheels came down the hill and everybody started dancing and partying. I love this city.

Ein weiterer Sonntag, ein weiterer Tag auf der Brick Lane. Mit ein paar Cidern im Gepäck haben wir uns nachmittags erstmal auf den Rasen in Allen Gardens gepackt, ganz in der Nähe der Brick Lane. Dank Van Ahn haben wir auch tatsächlich Bilder von dem Tag, Kerstin und ich nehmen unsere Kameras mittlerweile schon gar nicht mehr mit weil wir Sonntags abends immer ins Cafe 1001 tanzen gehen. (Obwohl mein Handy ja aussieht wie ‘ne Kamera, ist aber nur ne Hülle von Ebay, hier gibts die zu kaufen)

Als die Sonne langsam unterging kamen dann eine paar Leute mit einem riesen Lautsprecher über den Hügel und schon sind alle aufgestanden, haben angefangen zu tanzen und die Party war in vollem Gange. Ich liebe diese Stadt.
